Big Brother

Renewed CBS

Renewed. The premiere date hasn’t been announced.

Three houseguests. Every eviction counts.

Houseguests live together in a house under 24/7 cameras. Each week one wins Head of Household and nominates others for eviction; the Power of Veto can change the block, and the rest of the house votes someone out live. Evicted jurors choose the winner from the final two.

How it will work

The proposed format for when Big Brother opens. Details can change before launch.

  1. Start or join a party

Create a private party and send friends the link or a six-letter code.

  2. Pick three before the first eviction

Choose any three houseguests still in the house before the first live eviction starts. Once you lock them in, they're yours all summer.

  3. Score every week

Head of Household, the Veto, surviving the block and voting with the house earn points. Nominations, votes against and evictions cost you.

  4. Finish at the finale

Final three, final two, every jury vote and the win pay off big.

Rules

The proposed rulebook for when Big Brother opens.

Three picks

Everyone chooses exactly three houseguests who are still in the house. Picks can overlap and stay hidden until the lock.

Lock at the first live eviction

Picks lock when the first live eviction episode starts on CBS. Once you confirm, your picks can't change. No trades, bench or replacements.

When points start

The first live eviction and everything after it scores. Week-one events that aired before the lock don't.

Weekly scoring

Head of Household is worth 5, the Veto 4, other safety wins 3. Each nomination costs 2, but surviving the block earns 3. Voting with the house earns 1.

Evictions

Being evicted costs 10 plus 1 per vote. Double eviction nights score each eviction separately. Evicted picks stay on your team and stop scoring.

Finale

Final three is worth 5, final two 10, each jury vote 3 and the win 20. America's Favorite Houseguest adds 5 unless your host turns it off.

Powers and twists

An official secret power scores 3 when the broadcast first shows it was earned. Viewer votes never score on their own, only what happens in the game.

Voluntary exits and expulsions

Walking out or being expelled costs 10. Leaving for a stated medical or family reason scores 0. Either way, the houseguest stops scoring.

Returning houseguests

If an evicted houseguest officially returns, they earn 3 and start scoring again for every team that picked them. Their eviction still counts.

Late joiners

New members can join until picks lock. After that the party is closed unless your host allows late entry until the second eviction.

Spoilers and results

Results come only from CBS broadcasts and the live show, never from live feeds or social media, and stay hidden until the episode airs.

Ties and corrections

Equal scores share a rank. Corrections are logged, standings recalculate, and anyone whose score changed gets one notice.
