Season 9 premieres summer 2027 on Peacock. The exact date hasn’t been announced.

Watch week one, pick three islanders, and score every recoupling, dumping and public reveal all the way to the final.

Single islanders live in a villa in Fiji, couple up, and must re-couple as bombshells arrive; islanders left single or voted to the bottom risk being dumped. Near-daily episodes stream on Peacock for about six weeks each summer. In the final, viewers vote in the official app for the winning couple, who take home $100,000.

How it will work

The proposed format for when Love Island USA opens. Details can change before launch.

  1. Watch week one

    See the first couples form and the early bombshells arrive, then pick any three islanders, including both halves of a couple.

  2. Lock after the first recoupling

    Picks lock the night the first recoupling streams. After that, no swaps.

  3. Score the villa

    Your islanders earn points for staying coupled, surviving dumpings, being America's favorites and staying loyal through Casa Amor, and lose points when left single or dumped.

  4. Win the final

    Reaching the final and the couple's placing are worth the most, for both partners. The highest total in your party wins.

Your picks

Pick exactly three islanders who are in the villa when picks are open, in any mix, including both halves of a couple. Picks aren't exclusive. Once confirmed, they can't be changed.

Pick deadline

Picks lock at 11:59 PM Eastern on the night the first recoupling episode streams, about a week in. Scoring starts with the next episode. Earlier episodes only record who left.

Couples

You pick individuals, but couple results (recouplings, couple votes, Casa Amor, final placing) count for each partner. If a couple splits, each islander keeps scoring on their own.

Recouplings and dumpings

Coupled at a recoupling is +2 and left single -3. Every islander still in after a dumping gets +1. Explicitly at risk and staying adds +3, and being dumped is -8.

Public votes

Only results revealed on screen count: +3 for being named a favorite or most compatible, -2 for the bottom. Pick the Cast has no connection to the official Love Island USA app vote.

Casa Amor and making it official

Couples still together after the Casa Amor recoupling get +4 each. Making it official on screen is +3, once per islander per season.

The final

Reaching the final is +8 for each partner. Placing adds +3 for 3rd, +6 for 2nd and +20 for the winning couple. Prize money and any split-or-steal twist are never scored.

Voluntary exits

Walking out is -10. Leaving for a medical reason or a stated family emergency is 0.

Removals

An islander removed by producers for conduct gets -12.

Returning islanders

An islander voted or brought back after being dumped gets +5 and scores normally again. Their earlier -8 stays. Islanders who arrive after the lock can't be picked.

Ties

Tied players are ordered by most picks who reached the final, then by highest single-islander total. If they're still tied, they share the rank.

Late joiners

A party started after the lock sets its own deadline. Members pick from islanders still in the villa, and only later episodes count.

Corrections

Results follow what the episode shows on Peacock, and are scored in the episode where an outcome is revealed. Corrections are logged and recalculate every party. Results are final 7 days after publishing.

Host powers

Hosts can fix a member's picks with a logged reason and edit point values until the party starts. Nobody can change scoring after that.

Points come from what happens on the show. The biggest: won the season (+20), reached the final (+8) and runner-up (+6). The steepest loss: removed by producers (−12). Every event and its points are on the scoring page. These values are proposed and can change before the show opens.

How many people should be in a party?

6-14 players works best, up to 20. Parties can be private (invite link or code) or public.
