The Circle
Season 8 premieres Tuesday, Nov 17 on Hulu in 19 days Three episodes a week, Tuesday to Thursday, through the Dec 18 finale.
Set your lineup every week and ride the ratings to the final.
Players live in separate apartments and talk only through a chat app, as themselves or as a catfish. Every few days they rate each other; the top-rated become Influencers, who usually decide who gets blocked from the game, and the top-rated player in the final rating wins. After seven seasons on Netflix, season 8 moves to Hulu with celebrity players, real-time filming and audience voting.

How it will work
The proposed format for when The Circle opens. Details can change before launch.
Set a weekly lineup
Each week, choose three players who are still in The Circle. Keep the same three or switch them up.
Lock before Tuesday
Lineups lock before each week's first episode. New arrivals can join your lineup from the following week.
Score ratings and blocks
Your players earn points for top ratings, Influencer turns, games and surviving blockings. They lose points for being rated last or blocked.
Finish at the final rating
Players in the final rating earn a bonus, with the most for the runner-up and the winner. The highest season total takes your party.
Your players, your party.
Pick three players, then follow them all season. Every result moves the standings in your private party.

Rules
The proposed rulebook for when The Circle opens.
Three-player weekly lineup
Each week, every member starts three players who are still in the game. You can reuse players every week, and lineups can overlap with other members.
Weekly lock
Lineups lock Monday at 11:59 PM ET, before Tuesday's episode. If the cast is only revealed in the premiere, Week 1 locks before Episode 2 and Episode 1 doesn't score.
Carry-over
If you don't set a lineup, last week's carries over. A player who has left the game leaves an empty slot worth 0.
Blockings
Every player still in after a blocking scores 2. Being blocked costs 8, whatever the method, and the player stops scoring. Points earned before a mid-week block still count.
Ratings and Influencers
Finishing #1 in a rating is worth 5 and finishing last costs 2. Each turn as an Influencer is worth 4, plus 2 if the player decides a blocking alone. Hidden results score when the show reveals them.
Audience voting
Coming out on top of an official audience vote announced on the show is worth 4 until Hulu explains the format. Pick the Cast never connects to or imitates the official vote.
Finale
Every player in the final rating scores 10. The runner-up scores 8 more and the winner 20 more. An official Fan Favorite, if announced, scores 5.
Shared profiles and catfish
Points follow the profile, not the person, including when two people share one profile or profiles are swapped. A revealed catfish scores 3.
Voluntary exits and removals
Quitting or being removed by production scores -10. Leaving for medical or family reasons scores 0. Either way, the player stops scoring.
New arrivals and returns
Players who arrive mid-season, or return after a block, can be added to lineups from the next weekly lock.
Late joiners
New members can join any week and score from their first locked lineup. There are no catch-up points.
Ties
Members with the same total share a rank. Parties can turn on tiebreakers: higher Week 5 score, then more finale points.
Results and corrections
Results are entered from each released episode. Corrections are logged with a reason, standings recalculate, and anyone whose score changed gets one notice.
Host settings
Hosts can adjust point values until Week 1 locks and make audited lineup corrections with a reason.
